Hey y’all! I’m Elaine Gaskin Frix and I live in the great state of Alabama. There’s NO place I’d rather call home…scorching hot summers, Alabama football and all!! This year I’m starting my 9th year teaching. I started out my teaching career in 4th grade and after 2 years, I made the switch to third grade where I taught for 3 years. I then transferred to county wide librarian and technology teacher for the entire county for a year. After one year, I transferred back to my original "starting school" to teach 2nd grade. And I LOVED it! I found a whole new love for teaching. I recently completed my eighth year teaching and I looped with my 2nd graders to 3rd grade (back to the grade I have taught the most:)) I recently changed school systems and am now teaching at my alma mater. This is my first year teaching Kindergarten. I love it!!!!!! I also teach for Athens State University as an adjunct professor, where I teach Education classes.
When I’m not teaching, I’m busy being a mom to my precious little Yorkie, Gabby, who pretty much keeps me running NONSTOP!
When I’m not working on school stuff, I love crafting, home decorating, reading and sewing. I also own and manage an online boutique.
